Email scams abound -- Microsoft will send you $1,000,000 if you send this email to 1000 of your closest friends; See video of a naked Brittany Spears, etc. These scams normally have one of two payloads -- they either download some sort of malware on your system (viruses, worms, or trojans) or at best bog down the Internet by the sending and resending of bogus emails. Please check out www.snopes.com BEFORE you forward any email scams or warnings your friends, family and especially your customers!

We are currently seeing an increase in "drive-by malware". This occurs when you visit an infected site that automatically attaches some sort of adware/spyware or trojan to your computer. The most prevalent issues we are currently experiencing with our customers involve pop ups from one of the following:
Antivirus 2009
XP Antivirus
WinAntivirus
Windows Security Alerts
These pop ups instruct you to download and purchase their software to remove the "intruders" when in fact the program itself is the malware!
PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL ANY SOFTWARE YOU DID NOT SPECIFICALLY DOWNLOAD.
Some of these programs become so entangled in your windows installation that they cause your computer to become inoperable.
If you see these alerts, contact us at 602.579.0268 so that we can help you BEFORE your system becomes crippled.
